A leading company in the ASEAN region is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage paper rolls procurement. The role involves liaising with various departments, monitoring orders, and implementing process improvements. Candidates should possess strong communication and negotiation skills, along with a diploma in Business or Supply Chain Management and relevant experience.
· Liaise with Planning & Marketing department for paper rolls purchase forecast.
· Decide paper rolls purchase quantity by comparing consumption & forecasting provide by planning department.
· Prepare purchase requisition of paper rolls by verifying specifications paper and price.
· Monitor paper rolls weekly incoming schedule.
· Obtains purchased paper rolls orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
· Resolve delivery/shipments in error with suppliers.
· Maintain information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
· Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and supplier’s reputation and history.
· Confer with staff and users to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
· Support Sourcing in cost saving initiatives.
· Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems.
· Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Communication
· Communicate effectively with all departments on matters of purchasing.
Learning & Development
Minimum Diploma or preferably in Business Management or Supply Chain Management.
At least 2 years of experience in inventory and forecasting, particularly as relates to identifying, initiating, and implementing purchasing and inventory improvements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are desired.
A team player.
Diligent and able to work under pressure.
