Job description

SMT Process Development Senior Staff Engineer

Leading the flex foil circuitry package design and integration of material and process in development projects, particularly in SMT process, to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.

Actively seeking the knowhow of flex foil package designs, assembly, and material to ensure process and material capabilities are fully considered in Design Review.

Ensuring the product design matches customer requirements and understanding their technical needs.

Leading investigations and analysis of problems, yield issues, and driving the implementation of solutions.

Responding to and taking necessary actions to address urgent production and customer problems.

Coordinating and industrializing processes and logistics to fulfill manufacturability requirements.

Preparing line documentation for manufacturing and audits.

Understanding and optimizing product costs and roadmaps.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Mechatronic/Electromechanical, Material Science, Physics, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in assembly process development, especially SMT process.
  • Product Design or Flexible Foil Assembly experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge in SMT process, Packaging Design, and Assembly, with LEDs experience being advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, systematic problem-solving, statistical skills, and a detail-oriented personality.
  • Proficient in report writing, data analysis, CAD drawing, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project; CAD simulation knowledge is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for liaising between departments.
