Assemble modules, perform quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain productivity. Mentor staff, develop work instructions, and assist with SAP tasks. Lead improvements in quality, safety, and efficiency. Handle heavy modules and tooling machines, while ensuring documentation is up-to-date. Additional tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble modules according to technical documents using assembly tools provided.
- Perform quality checks on own and other staff's assembled modules.
- Drive quality initiatives, promote quality awareness, and prioritize quality in all actions.
- Perform error search and troubleshooting of modules in test stations or machines.
- Manage production hour bookings (BDE) and monitor productivity of self and staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, parts, modules, and tools.
- Develop and maintain standardized work instructions for all assigned areas.
- Complete all assembly reports and required paperwork.
- Attend quality, machine planning, and organizational meetings as required.
- Handle and assemble heavy modules.
- Operate tooling machines (e.g., hand-drill, drilling machine, lathe, grinding, milling) when required.
- Mentor new staff, trainees, and part-timers as assigned.
- Transfer knowledge on tool usage, chemical handling, and basic machine operations.
- Support SAP system tasks: creating notifications, checking stock, creating SL-numbers, and booking modules into stock.
- Follow up on purchase and precision parts needed for assembly.
- Assist in creating procedural documents (SOP/OPL).
- Update and maintain documentation such as schematics, wiring diagrams, maintenance logs, and manuals.
- Perform hands-on assembly in pre- or final assembly when needed.
- Lead continuous improvement activities in quality, delivery, cost, and safety, supporting Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
- Attend relevant meetings as required.
- Develop ergonomic solutions and practical design improvements for the worksite.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Good planning, organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and capable of multitasking with a sense of urgency.
- Fluent in Chinese (verbal and written), English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to motivate team members.
