Job Purpose

Responsible for the sales, management, and profitability of agents, and supporting the Branch Manager in achieving branch objectives.

The Job
  1. Achieve yearly growth targets for agents and the team/unit as a leader.
  2. Conserve renewals and grow the agency force through grooming and recruitment.
  3. Develop portfolio mix and achieve underwriting profit aligned with company appetite.
  4. Conduct risk inspections and acceptance within the assigned Underwriting Authority Limit.
  5. Ensure effective support in managing agents and their customers.
  6. Guide staff in technical knowledge and career development.
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders as required.
  8. Ensure compliance with business and regulatory risks, taking steps to mitigate them.
  9. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, emerging threats, and technologies.
  10. Proactively identify risks and share best practices in risk management.
The Person
  • Basic degree in any discipline or insurance qualification (e.g., AMII or DMII).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or marketing, preferably in financial products.
