Job description

Job Purpose

The Site Safety Supervisor will play a critical role in supporting the HSE Manager by ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of health and safety measures at the construction site in compliance with Malaysian safety regulations at RTS Operations Pte. Ltd. The Site Safety Supervisor plays a hands-on role in preventing incidents, ensuring safe work practices, and fostering a safety-first culture among all site personnel.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, and other relevant local safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site inspections.
  • Identify unsafe acts and conditions and take immediate corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing the Site Safety Plan (SSP).
  • Ensure that all workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safe work procedures.
  • Participate in incident/accident investigations and ensure timely reporting to the Safety Officer and relevant authorities (if necessary).
  • Maintain safety records including inspection reports, safety checklists, permits, and incident reports.
  • Liaise with the main contractor, subcontractors, and client representatives on all site safety matters.
  • Conduct safety inductions and training for new workers entering the site.
  • Support the implementation of Emergency Response Plans and participate in safety drills.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and culture at the site level.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum Diploma in HSE or equivalent.
  • DOSH Malaysia Registered SHO (Yellow Book Holder).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, such as railway operations, or air traffic.
  • Familiar with local safety requirements and risk control measures.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
