Company Background
We are representing our client, a well-known U.S. based food manufacturer located in Petaling Jaya. They are seeking a Logistics Officer for immediate hire to cover a 6-month maternity leave contract.
Job position: Logistics Officer (6 months contract)
Working hours: Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5.30pm)
Work Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor
Main Responsibilities:
- Execute, co-ordinate with service provider to obtain the booking confirmation as per schedule & release the booking timely to forwarding agent/3PL.
- Responsible for all the outbound operation activity including update the export order to 3PL, liaising with forwarding agent for empty container delivery, RFC on time & laden on time to port.
- Track the latest closing time & update into the share folder with 3PL.
- Follow up closely with QA for stocks releasing and communicate to the warehouse on order fulfillment issue such as short shelf life, orders change and work closely with warehouse & forwarding agent to mitigate the sales risk.
- Ensure the finish goods products especially set aside products transfer to 3PL timely.
- Co-ordinating with co-packer to ensure the promo pack items/stocks require for stickering are ready on time for export.
- Investigate with relevant parties when there is customer complaint.
- Responsible for aging stocks report.
- Co-ordinate with warehouse for East Malaysia stocks reservation & arranging shipment plan accordingly.
- Prepare the Export Delivery Schedule Adherence (DSA) report & arranging the logistics monthly meeting.
- Assist superior on Project activities including business development, and product packaging development.
- Responsible for proper filing of documentation per Audit requirements.
- A positive attitude towards continuous improvement. Explore ideas and participate in discussions on improving work efficiency, productivity, cost effectiveness and process improvement.
- Work closely with related stakeholders towards achievement of department goals.
- Other related logistics duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Minimum qualification: SPM / Diploma / Degree.
- Experience in the manufacturing or FMCG industry is preferred.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
- Candidate must be comfortable with a 6-month contract (maternity replacement).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other basic office applications.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
