Job Purpose and Impact
The Plant MSC (Manufacturing & Supply Chain) Finance Analyst Food (Cost Analyst) APAC - SEA applies in-depth knowledge to provide financial decision support and insights as the finance business partner to management and operational teams for complex facilities. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure results are timely, qualitative, analyzed, and understood. With limited supervision, this job drafts financial reports, analyzes financial data, and proposes recommendations on budgeting and forecasting processes. It also participates in the continuous improvement of management information systems, reporting standards, and business metric development to drive data-informed business decisions.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide finance business partnership for management by understanding and supporting strategic business priorities, challenges, and impacts within the assigned plants.
- Understand, evaluate, and measure relevant cost drivers within plant operations to ensure proper allocation of costs to products.
- Operate and analyze supply chain KPI reporting, and optimize processes.
- Draft and consolidate regional financial and non-financial reports for internal partners by gathering, prioritizing, and analyzing financial and non-financial data and KPIs.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to track business performance against plans, budgets, forecasts, and other KPIs, and link non-financial KPIs to actual costs for effective analysis and reporting.
- Identify insights based on financial analysis and research to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze costs associated with products, projects, or plants to understand cost drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by researching industry trends and accounting standards, and finding opportunities to enhance data integrity, relevancy, and reporting standards. Involve in productivity target setting and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain positive relationships with business leaders and teams to understand local and regional business needs.
- Review complex reports, including risk and mitigation controls, transaction code reports, and sensitive role reports, to identify gaps, vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with leadership to understand strategic priorities and potential impacts on financial statements.
- Create partnerships across facilities to share best practices and drive execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6-7 years of relevant experience, typically including at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost drivers.
- Experience with variance analysis and statistical tools.
- Experience as an FPA analyst/MSC FPA in manufacturing.
- Previous experience with SAP, Power BI, or Tableau; expert-level MS Office skills.
- Preferred experience in Agriculture/food manufacturing, FMCG, automotive, or electronics industries.
