Position Title
UI/UX Design Specialist
Report To
Head, Digital Platforms
Position Summary
As a UI/UX Specialist, your work will directly impact how users interact with our products. You'll conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and apply best practices in usability, accessibility, and design systems to ensure a consistent and optimized user journey.
Key Accountability
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate the apps/web GUI according to branding guidelines
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards and prototypes
- Design the user navigation and interactions with the app/website supported by prototypes
- Work closely with mobile/web developers in fine-tuning UI and UX
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness) & user pain points
- Conduct research on competitors' digital products and stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends
- Work in a team in an agile environment
- Review and coach peers on best UI/UX practices, fostering learning & support within the team
- Lead UI/UX walkthroughs with internal teams and key stakeholders
- Influence and coach business stakeholders on the importance of UI/UX and the rationale behind designs
- Conduct usability surveys and tests to gather user feedback to drive UI/UX improvements on digital products
Qualification & Working Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent with 4-5 years of experience in application development lifecycle within the aviation industry
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent with 3-4 years of experience in application development lifecycle within the aviation industry
- UI/UX design certifications or Interaction Design Specialization are a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in User Experience & UI fieldwork on eCommerce & consumer applications (website and mobile app)

- Intermediate to advanced skills in Figma
- Intermediate skills in Photoshop and Illustrator
