Job Responsibility
  1. Clinical & Mother-Baby Care Oversight
    • Supervise and ensure the highest standard of nursing care for mothers and newborns.
    • Monitor baby feeding, sleeping patterns, jaundice signs, and vital signs.
    • Provide guidance on breastfeeding, baby hygiene, and postnatal recovery.
    • Act as clinical reference for infant care, especially in paediatric concerns.
    • Collaborate with doctors and lactation consultants when necessary.
  2. Staff Supervision & Training
    • Lead a team of nurses, caregivers, and confinement nannies.
    • Conduct orientation and ongoing training focused on newborn care, hygiene, and emergency response.
    • Monitor staff discipline, hygiene practices, and SOP compliance.
  3. Infection Control & Safety
    • Oversee cleanliness and hygiene standards in rooms, nurseries, and common areas.
    • Ensure infection control protocols are followed (especially for babies with jaundice, colic, etc.).
    • Regularly audit hand hygiene and sterilization processes.
  4. Client Interaction & Support
    • Serve as the main point of clinical contact for mothers and families.
    • Handle complaints or special requests related to nursing care.
    • Conduct daily check-ins with mothers for physical/emotional well-being.
  5. Operations & Reporting
    • Assist in rostering, leave planning, and manpower assignments.
    • Submit weekly reports on baby and mother conditions, incidents, and staffing needs.
    • Liaise with management to improve workflow or address gaps in care.
  6. Other adhoc tasks under management direction from time to time
Job Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing (required)
  • Post-basic or advanced nursing certificate (e.g., in Management or Clinical areas) is preferred
Certification
  • Registered with the [insert relevant Nursing Board or Council]
  • Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Experience
  • Minimum 8-10 years of nursing experience
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
