Job description

Clerk of Work (Civil & Structural/ Architecture)

As the Clerk of Work (Civil & Structural/ Architecture) for CK East Construction Sdn Bhd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects at our office in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara, Selangor. This is a full-time position that involves overseeing the administrative and coordination aspects of civil, structural, and architectural works.

Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for all inspection and supervisory roles over the contractor’s works.
  2. Proper documentation of all activities on site.
  3. Ensure contractor compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
  4. Ensure that the quality of work and workmanship conform to the required standards.
  5. Coordinate effectively with various contractors, consultants, and authorities on all site matters.
  6. Attend all site meetings and verify progress reports.
  7. Coordinate with consultants and the project manager, highlight foreseeable problems for action, and ensure delivery of high-quality workmanship.
  8. Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Architecture, Civil & Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Preferably registered as Inspector-Of-Works (IOW) with the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) or Board of Architects Malaysia (BAM).
  • Ability to interpret and coordinate construction drawings between consultants and contractors.
  • Ability to monitor construction work programmes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Diligent, motivated, hardworking, trustworthy, and resourceful team member.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin, with a preference for candidates fluent in Mandarin for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Preferably able to start work immediately.
