Job description

Position : Business Development Manager

Status : 6 months’ probation under contract with PERSOLKELLY Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd, with potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of probation.

Location : Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas, Gelang Patah

Company Background : Warehouse and Logistics Service Provider

Working Days : Monday - Friday

Working Hours : 9am - 6pm (1 hour lunch break)

Salary : Up to RM8k (negotiable during interview)

Benefits : Medical AIA insurance

Entitlements : Annual Leave based on contract, Sick Leave and Hospitalization leave as per Malaysian Employment Act. Contributions to EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.

Responsibilities
  1. Business Growth: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the logistics, delivery, and warehouse services sector, targeting both new and existing clients.
  2. Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs in the warehouse and logistics services market.
  3. Lead Generation: Generate new leads, follow up on inquiries, and qualify prospects to expand the customer base.
  4. Proposals and Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients, highlighting the company’s logistics delivery and warehouse fulfillment services.
  5. Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business goals to drive revenue growth in logistics and warehouse services.
  6. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work with internal teams to develop customized solutions and optimize operational efficiency to meet client demands.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior business development role within logistics, warehousing, or fulfillment services.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and Mandarin/Cantonese is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of logistics, warehouse services, and fulfillment operations.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and solution-oriented skills.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and partnerships.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
