Dental Assisting Duties
- Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing tools as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure all dental instruments, equipment, and the clinical environment are clean and properly sterilized
- Provide patients with clear post-operative care instructions and support
Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and follow-ups
- Respond to patient inquiries and deliver excellent customer service
- Process billing and maintain accurate financial records
- Monitor and manage dental inventory; order supplies when needed
- Handle reception tasks such as answering calls and emails, checking in patients, and organizing files
- Ensure all administrative tasks comply with clinic policies and health regulations
Supportive Roles
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the clinic
- Support marketing efforts, including social media updates and promotional activities
- Coordinate with dental suppliers, laboratories, and other external vendors as necessary
Job Requirements
- Minimum qualification: SPM
- Experience as a Dental Assistant or in an administrative role is an advantage
- Proficient in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Familiar with dental terminology and procedures
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is an added advantage)
- Able to multitask, stay organized, responsible, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance claims is a plus
