The Statutory Reporting & Compliance Specialist role is pivotal in ensuring the company's financial activities are in line with local and international standards. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with statutory reporting and a deep understanding of compliance regulations within the Manufacturing industry.

Description

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Guarantees that all financial reports are submitted accurately and on time, adhering to both internal standards and local legal requirements.
  • Internal Control & Policy Enforcement: Implements and maintains strong internal controls, while also developing and enforcing accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously designs and improves accounting and reporting processes to make them simpler, more standardized, higher quality, and more cost-efficient.
  • System Management & Support: Ensures effective support and optimization for financial systems, including leading SAP or other system implementations and resolving any related issues.
  • Audit Resolution & Best Practices: Actively works to close outstanding audit issues and champions the adoption of best operating practices and continuous improvement in financial processes.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Provides coaching and mentorship to team members and handles additional tasks as assigned by management.

Profile

A successful Statutory Reporting & Compliance Specialist should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Background in external audit is needed
  • Existing commercial experience in finance & accounting will be an added advantage
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
