About the Role

Work as an internal SAP Development & Integration consultant, supporting enhancement and rollout projects.

  • Design, develop, and customize integration solutions to fulfill business requirements, using combination of SAP PI/PO (ESR and ID), SAP ABAP (ABAP Proxies, OData API, Function Modules, SOAP Web Service) and/or BTP.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager or Delivery Lead to estimate effort and formulate project plans.
  • Work closely with functional and business teams to comprehend requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and fine-tune codes (Java mapping, XSLT mapping, UDFs, ABAP) in accordance with AIA coding standards and guidelines.
  • Document technical designs and specifications.
  • Participate in Peer Code Reviews as an integral part of the quality assurance process.
  • Provide hyper-care support and transfer knowledge to the support team.
  • Maintain the development and integration inventory list, along with other live documents, ensuring they are always up-to-date.
  • Assist in the RFP process or in the evaluation of vendors/products.
  • Serve as the escalation point for daily support issues.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SAP Process Orchestration (PO), including SAP ABAP development proficiency for integration.
  • Experience with SAP HANA-based development and Business Technology Platform is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with non-SAP integration platforms such as Boomi, Mulesoft, or Workato will be considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern integration architecture such as service-oriented architecture and event-driven architecture are highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of participating in at least 3 end-to-end system implementation or rollout projects, as integration engineer/consultant/lead.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of SAP system trend and technologies.
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry will be advantageous.
