Act as a pivotal part of Group Data Governance by partnering with 18+ Business Units across Asia Pacific and Group functions to deliver the best data quality and governance.

Support the Director of Data Governance in establishing and maintaining effective data management practices, including the implementation and maintenance of the data governance framework, policies, and standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Group Data Governance Standard and Guidelines:
  • Support 18+ Business Units and Group functions (Operations, Healthcare, Investment, Finance, and Human Resources) in implementing the Group Data Governance Standard.
  • Assist in reviewing, revising, and expanding the Group Data Governance Standard.
  • Develop guidelines on data governance, e.g., reference data management and data format definitions.
  • Groupwide Data Governance Tooling:
  • Manage and upgrade the group-wide data governance tool and VM.
  • Research, identify, and assess data governance tools, including those with AI capabilities.
  • Groupwide Data Dictionary of Critical Data Element (CDE) Definitions:
  • Maintain and enhance the data dictionary, including CDEs, data quality rules, reference data, data domains, data owners, database mapping, PII labels, data classifications, metadata, and business glossary.
  • Support data owner functions in reviewing CDE definitions and defining new CDEs and data quality rules, e.g., for health clinical coding data standardization.
  • Monthly Data Quality Assessments:
  • Support Business Units in setting and monitoring data quality targets.
  • Enhance frameworks for data quality assessments and upskill teams in their implementation.
  • Assist in collecting, consolidating, and visualizing data quality metrics through dashboards.
  • Data Quality Issue Management:
  • Enhance and maintain the data quality issue management module and dashboards.
  • Review metrics, investigate root causes, and coordinate remediation with Business Units.
  • User Data Access Governance:
  • Support the development and rollout of a data access governance framework.
  • Data Risks and Controls:
  • Assist in data risk assessments and audits on data governance.

Qualifications:

  • University graduate or higher in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in delivering data governance and quality solutions independently, aligned with business needs and regulations.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with setting up, upgrading, and managing data governance and quality assessment software, preferably Data360 Govern and Analyze or similar tools, including VM.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining data dictionaries, performing data quality assessments, and creating dashboards with PowerBI or similar tools.

Other Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working remotely with international teams is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in the insurance or banking industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health data, especially clinical coding standards, is a plus.
