About the job (A) Manager, Application Monitoring & Support
Manage and provide technical support on Application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
Perform administration, setup and review of alerting for verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
Design and implement Dynatrace monitoring solutions that meet the needs of our internal teams and external clients.
Ongoing setup of alerts and processing thresholds.
Provide education/training to other team members as well as other IT departments on how to use the tool in a productive, efficient way to identify potential problem areas.
Proactive investigation of potential problem areas based on monitoring statistics.
Creation of monitoring dashboards and key metrics for IT leadership.
Investigate & resolve issues resulting from major incidents as part of incident management and provide detailed root cause analysis.
Familiarity with networking and storage concepts.
Experience with Oracle, EBS, SOA is a plus.
Experience with Linux, Unix & Sun Solaris systems.
Experience with Shell scripting and other scripting tools.
Ability to be proactive, creative problem solver and work well under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work collaboratively with other departments and functional teams to coordinate effective solutions.
Knowledge of current documentation materials, methods, technology and practices.
Ensure company standards and procedures are followed.
