Job description

Assess, investigate, and negotiate settlement of Third Party Bodily Injury (TPBI) motor claims within the personal authorization limit provided by the Company.

Appoint panel solicitors and adjusters to handle TPBI motor claims whenever appropriate.

Provide prompt and efficient claims service to claimants and intermediaries.

Monitor the efficiency of our Service Providers to support MSIG’s Service standards.

Ensure proper recording and retention of claims documents and correspondence.

Periodically update and review the status of claims reserves to ensure the company's interests are properly preserved.

Pursue recoveries for the Company & RI.

Accountabilities:
  • Ensure all legitimate claims are settled promptly, fairly, and cost-effectively.
  • Maintain appropriate and adequate claims reserves at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with Customer Service Standards adopted by the Company.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Objectives adopted by the Claims Department.
  • Ensure compliance with BNM guidelines and MSIG’s claims policy.
  • Report adverse trends to Business Managers / Functional Managers.
  • Investigate thoroughly and take relevant action on fraudulent claims.
  • Minimize claims leakages.
  • Conduct claims reviews as scheduled.
  • Maintain regular liaison with underwriters and business units regarding policies and claims issues.
  • Assist superiors on any other matters as requested or necessary.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Law or Law graduates.
  • Fresh graduates or 1-2 years of working experience.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
