Job Summary

The primary objective of the Analyst is to provide day-to-day servicing and administration of an assigned group of Syndicated facilities where Royal Bank of Canada acts as Agent. This includes managing related loan drawings, fees, interest schedules, and the settlement of secondary assignments.

Job Description

Working Hours: 9AM-6PM

• Process secondary assignments, and primary assignments when required, for assigned Borrowers according to established guidelines.
• Monitor the daily Settlement Date Coordination (SDC) Report for open trades, update ticket statuses, and record current settlement statuses in ClearPar.
• Review trades to verify Buyer status on the DQ list, lender record, or affiliate, and initiate consent processes if necessary.
• Verify Seller’s inventory sufficiency for settling open trades on or before the scheduled date.
• Review Affiliate Letters and sub-allocations to ensure minimum hold/purchase requirements per the credit agreement.
• Select settlement dates not later than T+7, considering delays due to consents or KYC issues.
• Coordinate the execution of Assignment and Assumptions agreements and determine the Effective date in ClearPar.
• Record lenders' positions on ACBS on the Settlement Date as trades become effective.
• Act as verification officer for ACBS two-touch transactions created by other Analysts.
• Manage post-closing activities for primary assignments, ensuring DQ lists are updated.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, OFAC, FinCen, USA Patriot Act, and other sanctions.
• Meet or exceed service delivery standards for quality and timeliness.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to reduce risks.
• Evaluate new IT solutions and business requirements; recommend system enhancements.
• Provide input during system development and implementation for high-impact projects.
• Oversee the Secondary Syndicated Loan Process, including data analysis and external communications.
• Act as a backup for other Analysts and assist in training new team members.
