Job description

Hiring for 2 positions for an MNC located in Penang

12 Months Contract

Job Description:

1. Manage Major Incidents (MIs) by quickly engaging the right teams, handling technical communication, and updating both internal and business stakeholders.
2. Work with IT infrastructure and app support teams to resolve incidents and investigate problems.
3. Analyze incident trends to identify and prevent recurring issues.
4. Ensure accurate reporting and data for MIs and investigations.
5. Be available 24/7, on standby to manage incident escalations and ensure the right personnel are involved.
6. Coordinate and delegate issues such as network or system downtimes to the relevant IT personnel.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience.
3. Strong understanding of ITIL Incident Management, Major Incident Management, and Problem Management.
4. Experience in a 24/7 environment, flexible to work weekends and be on-call.
5. Able to handle high-stress situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
7. Able to work in a team and manage complex situations independently.
8. ITIL Foundations Certification (preferred)

Position: IT Business Analyst (Environmental Monitoring System)

Job Description

1. Provide direct support to business users, including processing of support tickets and system expansion tasks.
2. Handle incidents, work orders, and change requests using the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
3. Manage ITSM tickets related to support, access control, incidents, and change management.
4. Perform regular application maintenance and patching.
5. Troubleshoot system-related issues to ensure smooth operation.
6. Participate in system validation activities such as writing and executing test cases.
7. Assist with system configuration/setup and the development of validation-related documentation.
8. Contribute to site deployment projects by setting up and configuring systems for new or expanded operations.
9. Gather and translate user requirements into functional system specifications.
10. Act as a liaison between users and technical teams to ensure requirements are properly understood and delivered.
11. Provide support for hardware/software challenges encountered by users in testing or measurement environments.
12. Conduct training sessions for end users to help them understand and utilize system functions effectively.
13. Develop and maintain system support documentation and user manuals/knowledge base articles.

Job Requirements:

1. At least a Diploma in engineering or IT-related studies (e.g., electrical, manufacturing, networks).
2. At least 1 year of experience supporting factory/shop floor systems or working in a regulated industry or manufacturing environment.
3. Familiar with Vaisala Environmental Monitoring Systems or general Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS).
