Job description

Your duties and responsibilities (include but not limited to) are as follows:

1. Team Supervision and Oversight: Supervise the accounts team and oversee daily accounting operations.

2. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.

3. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insightful reports and recommendations to senior management.

4. Bursa Malaysia Compliance: Assist in the preparation of financial reports in accordance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.

5. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions and reconciliations.

6. Budgeting and Forecasting Support: Assist in preparing annual budget and forecast processes, working collaboratively with department heads.

7. Cash Flow Management: Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and optimize cash management strategies.

8. Financial Policies and Internal Controls: Implement, and maintain robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS/MPERS), tax regulations, and other applicable legal requirements.

10. Audit Coordination: Coordinate and provide support for both internal and external audit processes.

11. Stakeholder Relationship Management: Manage relationships with banks, external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial institutions.

12. Team Leadership and Mentoring (if applicable): Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

13. Strategic Planning Support: Participate in strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.

14. Ad-hoc Financial Projects: Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and projects as required by management.

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or Banking.

Solid understanding of Malaysian accounting and statutory practices (Malaysian citizen).

Minimum 3 years of accounting/finance experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Advantageous: Listed company experience, ACCA qualification, Mandarin language skills.
