Job Description:
  • Sourcing and evaluating attractive lines of products to meet market demand.
  • Work closely with vendors on contract & promotion negotiations to secure the best deals.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on inventory management, planning, and forecasting.
  • Communicate and work closely with line managers during planning and purchasing processes with potential suppliers.
  • Identify growth opportunities and risks in assortment and develop contingency plans.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships with vendors.
  • Meet established goals for sales, margin, income, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure that pricing, promotional strategies, and marketing of the goods support the objectives of the merchandise division.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional disposition and demeanor at all times.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Studies or related fields.
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience in the related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Analytical skills, strong commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels.
  • High level of integrity, numeracy, IT skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Preferably from retail/FMCG industry.
