• This includes identifying opportunities and risks, utilizing data and insights for informed decision-making, and implementing necessary changes to achieve desired outcomes.
• They leverage their knowledge of market trends and distribution dynamics, working through local teams to meet customer needs.
• They serve as a referral point for underwriting decisions requiring empowerment at their level.
• They collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to meet business objectives and work with local underwriting teams to ensure consistency and adherence to underwriting standards.
• The Underwriting Manager plays a key role in improving underwriting processes and efficiency for their line(s) of business and in nurturing talent to ensure organizational sustainability and future readiness.
