Job description

Assist superior in overseeing the functions of the department at HQ and state level.

Contractual monitoring, advise and recommend on the solutions based on SOP and contract agreement.

Manage the end to end process of tendering, reassignment and contract area rezoning exercise.

Prepare of Contract Committee Paper (CCP).

Monitor contractors' performance and propose the necessary actions based on the evaluation.

Ensure project executed in compliance with Tender/Contract.

Evaluate claims for progress payment, variation and final account.

Negotiate with client, subcontractor and consultant on contract and cost issues.

Monitor on the validity and updates of contractors' insurance and BLESS license.

Liaise and work on the development of payment system and other relevant systems for automation purposes.

Monitor on the audit reports of State level, highlight on the findings if necessary and follow up on the action taken.

Undertake other task and responsibilities as directed by Department Head.

Job Specification:

Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

At least five (6) years of working experience in the related field.

Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of people and to deal with diversity of contractors.

Meticulous and systematic in organizing own work processes.

Experienced in leading a team will be an added advantage.

Well versed in Microsoft Office Applications.

Willing to travel to Negeri Sembilan/Melaka/Johor to attend meetings and attend to work related matters.
