Job Description

This is a data analyst role within the Worldwide Cost Accounting hub operation based in Penang. You will join a dynamic team and are expected to use both technical and analytical skills to provide support and insights to business partners from various organizations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end cost accounting operation support, including standard cost setting, variance analysis, and inventory reconciliation.
• Support internal, external, and SOX process audits, walk-throughs, and reviews.
• Support corporate and enterprise-wide projects such as M&A, ERP upgrades, and implementations.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and digitalization initiatives, including automation and data mining.
• Enhance reporting capabilities with better data insights and visualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Science, Mathematics, or a professional qualification.
• Experience in an MNC finance or accounting environment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting concepts and double entries.
• Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Additional advantageous experience includes:
• Big data modeling, MS Access automation, Excel, Power BI, and data languages such as SQL, VBA, Python.
