Role Summary
Responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, executing, and monitoring to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of instrument equipment and control system within the organization. This role involves a combination of corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, project and continuous improvement activities to minimize downtime and improve overall operational performance.
Job Responsibilities
- To Plan, Manage & Execute PM and CM activities for all instrumentation equipment and control system to ensure continued serviceability and safe operation.
- To Plan, Manage & Execute CAPEX expenditure within budget.
- To Manage all repair and breakdown activities for plant instrument equipment, field devices and control system (SCADA, DCS. PLC) with minimal downtime so that there is no interruption to the -business process.
- To prepare technical specifications and cost estimates for internal and contracted engineering work such as renovations, modifications, expansions, or installation of terminal facilities and utility systems.
- To coordinate critical incident root cause analysis (RCA) and investigation report within required timeframe.
- To initiate or execute management of change (MOC) from the identification of changes to the post-change evaluation.
- To review inventory requirements and ensure that sufficient (minimum/maximum) levels of spare parts are available and properly managed.
- To prepare, analyze, and plan the annual maintenance costing to support the maintenance budget.
- To liaise with suppliers to procure spare parts for plant machinery and building services equipment to ensure minimum downtime.
- To liaise with contractor for contract workers, repair work and breakdown activities in the plant to ensure that the equipment will be serviced and repaired immediately without any further down time.
- To participate in HAZOP to identify and analyse potential hazards associated with a system, process, or activity.
Job Requirements
- Education: Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic or Instrumentation or related field.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years in experiences for Chemical Plant, Oil & Gas and Terminals. Proven experience in maintenance engineering, with a focus on Instrument and Control systems.
- Good Knowledge in Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Distributed Control System (DCS), Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Proven experience in maintenance engineering, with a focus on electrical, instrumentation and control system systems
- Proficiency in diagnostic and maintenance tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices
- Familiarity in any of Computer Maintenance Management System for daily maintenance activity.
