Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Professional to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial strategy and growth of our organization, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and manage the group accounts function on matters relating to the preparation of condensed consolidated accounts and periodic financial reporting, budgets and financial projection, taxation and audit.
  • Responsible for the preparation, analysis, and review of the group financial and management reports as follows:

(a) Monthly management accounts, financial reports, taxation and departmental operating reports

(b) Quarterly interim financial report for the announcement to Bursa

(c) Yearly audited accounts

(d) Yearly budgeting and financial projection

  • Review and analyse the group and divisional financial performance and support the management’s business decision making by providing financial analysis and business insight on the group financial performance.
  • Liaise with the divisional management to produce monthly reporting reports, providing commentary to senior management on significant variances.
  • Manage and review the announcements, circulars, submission documents and proposals to ensure compliance with authorities’ requirement.
  • Conduct, analyse and implement corporate proposals, corporate finance initiatives and capital raising exercise.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditor, tax agent and relevant authorities to ensure compliance to the statutory requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Review and improve the existing internal control system and departmental operating procedures and processes.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as when necessary at ad-hoc basis.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • A proven track record with minimum of five (5) years of commercial experience with strong technical knowledge. in accounting, taxation and law (MFRS, Income Tax Act, Companies Act, Listing Requirements, etc).
  • Knowledge in corporate finance and financial modelling is an added advantage.
  • Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • High level of integrity, self-driven and result oriented personality
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A committed team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and meticulous for details
