Job Summary

The Repair Engineer performs repair of defective boards of Supermicro products, identifies failure root causes to improve production line yield, and participates in SMT/PCBA assembly line activities to reduce failure rates and defective boards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform first-level review of IQC/Production Line return fault boards.
2. Rework, repair, and implement ECO upgrades on Repair PCBA (Motherboards, backplanes, riser cards, AOCs, etc.).
3. Carry out ECO upgrades on all in-stock PCBA based on ECO documentation.
4. Conduct VI and functional testing of motherboards, backplanes, and AOCs as required under supervision.
5. Support data collection on inspection results and defect repairs.

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE with 3-5 years of experience in PCBA repair, PC/Server assembly, and failure analysis.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Good knowledge of computer/server operation and electronic components/devices.
• Strong understanding of basic electronics circuit fundamentals.
• Skilled in soldering and desoldering techniques.
• Knowledge of computer/server testing and inspection processes.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operation software.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot electronic circuits.
• Teamwork skills, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Salary Range

MYR 5000++ per month
