Sets the overall objectives of the company.
Oversees the business operations locally and overseas (if applicable).
Ensures the delivery of MHTC’s strategy, business plans, and financial performance (where applicable), including managing revenue, costs, and business profitability, as well as managing business performance.
Owns the agency’s KPIs, financials, and ensures value and cost-effective management of resources.
Leads the organisation to excellence.

Is accountable to the Board of Directors and the Government of Malaysia.
Builds a sustainable Industry
Leads and oversees the short-term and long-term strategies and policy reforms towards achieving the nation’s vision.

Drives the medical tourism agenda as a national agenda.
Builds and manages key stakeholders (Ministries, government agencies, states, private sectors, and international organisations) and ecosystem partners.
Brings together stakeholders and partners to collaborate and drive the national agenda for effective strategies and impactful action plans.

Expands Malaysia Healthcare as the trusted brand internationally for healthcare travel.
Positively advocates the brand and the organisation at local and international platforms.
Continuously goes beyond in delivering the Malaysia Healthcare brand promise.
Manages risks and compliance
Responsible for the reputational, operational, financial, and exposure risks of the company and brand, whether locally or overseas.
Holds overall responsibility for corporate governance and compliance of the agency with various best practices, policies, codes of conduct, and applicable laws by allocating sufficient resources and ensuring an effective framework.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree/Master’s/PhD in any related field.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in senior management/executive positions in a dynamic environment.
Possesses tact, strong negotiation skills, and commercial acumen.
Experience and track record in transformation, change management, or business turnaround.
Upholds high integrity, accountability, and has a strong passion for nation building.
People person with mastery in networking that rallies effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills, with mastery in presentation.
