Description

1. Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives in Malaysia. Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and executive team. Lead long-term financial planning, funding strategies, capital allocation, and profitability targets. Analyze market trends, economic conditions, and competitor activities to identify risks and opportunities.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans. Lead the FP&A team to deliver timely financial reports. Monitor performance against budgets and provide recommendations. Develop KPIs relevant to the Malaysian business.
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS). Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Manage tax compliance and coordinate with auditors and authorities. Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements if applicable.
4. Treasury & Risk Management: Oversee treasury functions, including cash management and foreign exchange risk. Develop risk management policies and ensure adequate insurance coverage.
5. Internal Controls & Governance: Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity. Ensure adherence to policies and legal requirements.
6. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance environment. Set performance expectations and support professional growth.
7. Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with banks, investors, and regulators. Represent finance in executive and board meetings.

Profile

• 10-15 years' experience, leading a team of at least 5 members.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong leadership, motivation, and development skills.
• Visionary, proactive, and willing to take calculated risks.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on business growth, cost savings, and process improvements.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and reporting skills.

Job Offer

You will be rewarded with an attractive package of RM 30,000 - RM 40,000 monthly.
