Job Description:
- Support end-to-end statutory audit processes, including auditor engagement, preparation of audit PBC schedules, providing supporting documentation to auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other stakeholders, and preparing full audited financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, SOSE, and accounting policies notes).
- Manage monthly and quarterly governmental filings for the Registrar of Companies and Inland Revenue.
- Ensure operational excellence and full compliance of the Legal Entity with IFRS, local GAAP, US GAAP, company policies, and various government regulations and laws.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end activities, including corporate close tasks, local statutory tasks (JE booking, forecasts, reconciliations, financial reviews, etc.).
- Participate in regulatory audits from government agencies such as IRB, Customs, and National Statistics.
- Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders and directors to manage compliance matters, resolve complex accounting issues, and stay updated on upcoming regulations (e.g., ESG, AMLA, IASB standards).
- Support legal entity restructuring, eliminations, or new entity setup initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Tax, Legal, M&A, Procurement, HR, etc.) to manage financial compliance deliverables.
- Participate in system/process simplification and improvement projects.
- Lead global and local projects and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Support SAP S4 system design and implementation, including standardization, configuration, and testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Professional Degree in Accountancy.
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a global organization; external auditor experience or SAP S4 knowledge is preferred.
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
- Ability to operate across organizations and geographies with high ambiguity tolerance.
- Results-driven with organizational savvy and strong business partnership skills.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.
- Strong financial systems capabilities, including SAP and reporting systems, are advantageous.
