This position is responsible for the overall finance, accounting, and reporting of the company and its subsidiaries, including but not limited to the preparation and presentation of financial reports, maintenance of accounting and human resources records, and the day-to-day running of the finance operations of the group. This role requires working closely with the managers of investment companies and shareholders.

FINANCE & REPORTING FUNCTION
  1. Oversee all financial-related matters including managing the accounts, payroll, financial reporting, and assessing financial performance for monitoring and decision-making.
  2. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Department, including payments, invoice reviews, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and handling operational issues.
  3. Perform month-end closing, prepare, review, and analyze management accounts, consolidate accounts, and prepare financial and management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
  4. Coordinate the preparation of quarterly reports and facilitate annual audits, liaising with auditors on interim and year-end statutory audits and other ad-hoc exercises.
  5. Establish financial targets, budgets, cash flow projections, and conduct financial analysis and performance evaluation, including variance analysis and cost control.
  6. Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds to meet obligations and develop strategies to improve liquidity.
  7. Identify and secure funding sources, such as bank loans and credit facilities.
  8. Manage debt obligations, including repayments and refinancing.
  9. Invest excess cash in short-term and long-term instruments to generate returns.
  10. Formulate and implement effective internal control policies and procedures.
  11. Coordinate tax compliance and liaise with tax agents on various taxes including Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and Sales and Services Tax.
  12. Liaise with bankers, lawyers, external consultants, and government authorities.
  13. Manage procurement functions, including vendor liaison, issuing Purchase Orders, and vendor monitoring.
  14. Collaborate with company managers and subsidiaries to achieve investment objectives set by shareholders.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
HR FUNCTION
  1. Handle HR administration, including payroll administration.
  2. Prepare HR-related documents such as employment contracts, confirmation letters, warnings, termination notices, memos, and policies.
  3. Verify HR documents and handle payroll issues to meet statutory deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification(s).
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in asset management or financial institutions, capable of handling complete sets of financial statements including taxation.
  • Professional Certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and accounting principles.
  • Ability to work independently.
