Job description

As Senior Manager Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m / f / diverse), you will be the contact for our internal stakeholders and external auditors regarding specific accounting issues.

  1. Preparation of accounting for parts of the Annual and Quarterly Reports, serving as contact for auditors.
  2. Handling of quarterly, monthly, and case-related accounting issues, including coordination for input.
  3. Advising and guiding internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with IFRS for external reporting, applying basic accounting principles and internal guidelines.
  4. Serving as a subject matter expert for complex accounting issues and providing technical supervision to junior colleagues.
  5. Updating the Accounting Guidelines (Financial Reporting Manual) and defining Group Accounting Policies.
  6. Monitoring accounting standards for legal and internal requirements.
  7. Providing training on accounting issues.
  8. Participating in projects, especially M&A projects.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in Economics, focusing on Finance and Accounting.
  • Significant professional experience at an accounting firm or in the finance and accounting department of an industrial company.
  • Over five years of experience in preparing consolidated financial statements, preferably in a global, publicly listed company.
  • Deep knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
  • Project management experience, especially in accounting-related projects like IFRS implementation.
  • Business-fluent in English and German.
  • Strong intercultural communication skills.
