A leading company in Subang Jaya seeks a Technical Lead specializing in SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. The role involves overseeing technical operations, leading migration projects, and enhancing user adoption through training. Role summary:
The Technical Lead specializing in SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Collaboration Tools is an integral part of a dynamic team at the ROCKWOOL Group This role is responsible for leading the management and maintenance of these platforms to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance.
The Technical Lead will provide strategic direction, oversee technical operations, lead complex migration projects, and drive user adoption through effective training and support.
The position is part of a high-performing team of consultants and developers focused on delivering automation projects and providing support in areas such as Power Platform, SharePoint, and Robotics Process Automation (RPA).
Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:
Leadership and Strategy:
Lead the technical team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools within Microsoft 365.
Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the functionality and efficiency of collaboration platforms.
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Promote user adoption and adherence to governance policies.
Technical Expertise:
Serve as a subject matter expert for SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools within Microsoft 365.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, training materials, system configurations, and relevant operational processes and procedures.
Plan and execute data migration strategies, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Establish and enforce governance policies to ensure compliance with organizational standards, data security, and regulatory requirements. This includes setting up proper access controls, data management policies, and usage guidelines.
Improve information architecture within SharePoint and MS Teams.
Project Management:
Lead and manage mini projects involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with business objectives.
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure adherence to timelines and priority.
Customer Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions, maintaining a customer-focused approach in all areas.
Conduct training sessions for users and contribute to the user community as part of daily support
Operational Excellence:
Support the deployment, maintenance, health, capacity, and performance monitoring of Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
Deliver incident and problem analysis and resolution in accordance with set Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the technology area.
Developing and promoting best practices for solution development and deployment, including coding standards, documentation, and maintenance procedures. Ensuring that all solutions are built with scalability, performance, and security in mind.
Implementing and overseeing quality assurance processes, including code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Innovation and Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance service delivery.
Build and maintain technological roadmaps.
Skills & Experience
Over 5 years of hands-on experience with focus on roadmap content and design in Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and Collaboration tools.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams administration, including governance practices.
In-depth understanding of business and IT domains, with substantial experience working in multinational environments.
Proven ability to plan, schedule, and monitor work activities effectively to meet stringent time and quality targets.
Demonstrates competency/success in translating customer and business requirements into effective business solutions, fostering long-term partnerships with clients.
Significant experience managing large projects involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
Experience in using various data migration tools to facilitate smooth transitions to SharePoint and Teams environments.
Experience working in Agile and ITIL environments, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
Ability to design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights and data visualization to support decision-making.
Any experience in utilizing SharePoint Framework (SPFx)to customize SharePoint environments, including the creation of custom web parts and extensions will be a plus.
General understanding and practical experience with PowerApps, Power Automate, and Logic Apps will be a plus.
Expertise in record management and data retention strategies, ensuring compliance and effective data governance will be a plus.
