About the team

In this position, you will be part of our Chapter Software Engineering. The chapter represents all experts who deliver essential software development and engineering capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to keep E.ON’s code base modern, secure and excellent.

The products you will be working on belong to our team Digital Solutions | Future Energy Home. This team develops and operates software to manage home energy devices such as photovoltaic, inverters, batteries, EV charging wall boxes, heat pumps and meters as a cloud-based solution for our central and local units so they can rollout those solutions to the end-customers. We integrate with numerous vendors’ devices and apply centralized insights, analytics and control mechanisms for these devices.

Meaningful & Challenging - Your Tasks

• Backend Software Development for our Future Energy Home product portfolio using Typescript & NodeJS based on AWS cloud
• Analyzing third-party APIs, mapping data models and data concepts to our models for proper integration
• Collaborating with solution architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver the best experience to our end-customers
• Ensuring clean code and architectures, and performing refactoring to improve the product
• Staying updated with the latest in software technologies and frameworks, and sharing ideas within our Community of Practice

Authentic & Ambitious - Your Profile

• Several years of experience in Typescript and the NodeJS/npm ecosystem, optionally React / React Native
• Experience with cloud-native software design and web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, etc.)
• Profound experience with AWS cloud technologies, including serverless services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis)
• Proven track record with DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab, SonarQube, CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
• Experience with Python
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and coach developers
