Job description

Application Analyst is responsible for evaluating and assessing the needs of clinical materials related to EMR and its online workflow, and training clinicians and other healthcare staff to become accustomed to the HIS online processes and new variations of online workflows.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Roles:

1. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and HIS systems.
2. Provide first-level support for HIS modules in TrakCare, Labtrak, and Healthshare.
3. Maintain TrakCare Code Table.
4. Analyze, compile, and validate crucial medical data for EMR.
5. Be familiar with all hardware and software components.
6. Provide EMR functionality and workflow support.
7. Provide orientation to new users of existing technology.
8. Train staff on potential uses of existing technology.
9. Train staff on new and potential uses of technology.
10. Provide individual training for staff and specialists.
11. Offer recommendations on accessing information and support.
12. Monitor existing TrakCare integration with other systems such as SAP, PACS, and PACS Broker.
13. Monitor TrakCare integration with lab instruments.
14. Support Speedminer Data Mining system.
15. Provide recommendations regarding current HIS performance.
16. Assess and evaluate HIS system upgrades if needed.

EMR Analyst Functions:

1. Evaluate and document clinical workflows and requirements for application development.
2. Maintain all possible EMR medical records in electronic software applications.
3. Monitor existing workflows and formulate requirements specifications.
4. Suggest alternative solutions for resolving issues or improving clinical/operational tasks and workflows.
5. Design and modify existing workflow programs to leverage new modules.
6. Prepare and implement training curricula and elements of EMR in TrakCare.
