Work Location: 1Powerhouse, PJ (5 mins walk from MRT Bandar Utama)

Reporting To: Demand Planning Manager

Working Hours: 2.00PM – 11.00PM / 3.00PM – 12.00AM

The Demand Analyst will be responsible for the timely completion of baseline forecasts and adjusting the statistical model, provided to the Demand Partners in a timely manner for review, feedback, and re-work in advance of the S&OP governance forums. They will produce informative, visual, and consumable information for the Demand Partners, enabling effective decision-making and prioritization of actions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop 3rd Party Customer Demand baseline forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation.
2. Produce mid-term 3rd Party Customer Demand forecast (4-12 months) for engagement with Channel / Sub-Region Sales Leads.
3. Produce EUM roll-ups along with the longer-term forecast (12-24 months) for Demand Partner communication.
4. Identify products and customers requiring more input from Commercial and inform Demand Partner.
5. Analyze 3rd Party Customer Demand variability, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from sales, marketing, finance, replenishment analysts, and other sources.
6. Collaborate with Demand Partners to provide accurate and timely 3rd Party Customer Demand baseline forecasts in line with the S&OP calendar.
7. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop models, and evaluate results.
8. Act on feedback from Demand Partners to improve forecasting processes.
9. Assist with root cause analysis and algorithm enhancements.
10. Review forecast accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
11. Adjust statistical models and run manual forecasts.
12. Capture insights and opportunities for review.
13. Cleanse sales history data.
14. Update CVC and system forecasts where applicable.
15. Prepare data and insights for consensus and review meetings.
16. Update system forecasts and coordinate with supply planning.
17. Generate portfolio optimization insights for SKU rationalization.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain, Business/Commercial discipline.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in demand planning with a good understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
3. Experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
4. Proficiency in additional foreign languages is a plus.
