Your role

We are looking for a Account Executive – Bolon (Southern) to join our Malaysia sales team. This role focuses on expanding our business and brand presence within the Malaysia Wholesale market, identifying new opportunities, and opening new accounts by implementing effective sales strategies. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and cross-functional teams from Product, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and Planning to ensure our brands are well-positioned to drive sales and tell compelling brand stories in the sport market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Driving increased sales and sell-through in targeted channels and categories
  • Developing and executing strategic plans to meet sales targets and grow the customer base in Malaysia
  • Leading local cross-functional teams in Go-To-Market planning and seasonal execution
  • Managing account relationships at all levels
  • Creating sales visions and execution plans that connect brands with Malaysian consumers, aligning with our brand voice across distribution points
  • Utilizing category data for pitches and proposals

Sports Business Development Duties include:

  • Identifying growth opportunities within distribution and product categories with potential partners
  • Spotting key trends and proposing sports experiential events
  • Exploring athlete representation and collaborations with local prospects
  • Partnering with sports rights holders for co-created events and experiences

Qualifications and Experience

  • Passion for building brands
  • Alignment with our mission, vision, and values
  • Creative, disciplined, proactive leadership capable of managing complex relationships
  • Market knowledge in Snow, Cycling, Golf, Fitness industries
  • Ability to manage diverse business situations and relationships
  • Excellent listening and insight skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Over 5 years of industry leadership experience
  • Proficiency in English
  • Willingness to travel

Experience in general management or leadership within Sport Inspired or Sport Fashion channels is preferred.

Main Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales growth and market penetration in Malaysia
  • Leading Go-To-Market planning and account management
  • Developing customer-specific sales strategies and joint business plans
  • Conducting product presentations and achieving sales targets
  • Maintaining in-store presence and visual merchandising
  • Forecasting, analyzing sales data, and managing inventory and account assortments
  • Collaborating with marketing teams to maximize store presence and campaigns
  • Conducting regular business reviews and ensuring timely receivables
  • Staying informed on market trends and competitor activities
