We are seeking a Senior Project Architect with substantial experience to oversee and ensure design quality across major projects. This role involves working within a global development and construction organization, emphasizing innovation, design integrity, and impactful architecture.

Project Management

• Lead the end-to-end execution of architectural projects—from conceptualization to completion—ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Oversee the design coordination process, including zoning layout planning, spatial interaction planning, materials integration, and construction management.
• Drive successful project delivery within established cost, schedule, and regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare project development schedules and reports for the department head or directors.

Design and Documentation

• Prepare technical and detailed drawings, with experience in large-scale projects and steel constructions considered an advantage.
• Analyze and interpret architectural requirements to develop innovative, market-responsive design solutions.
• Review and validate detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.
• Ensure all designs are functional, aesthetically compelling, and compliant with regulatory codes.

Coordination and Collaboration

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—architects, engineers, interior and landscape designers—to ensure cohesive design strategies.
• Represent the design team in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities, maintaining design integrity throughout planning and construction.
• Engage proactively with contractors, consultants, and local authorities to address technical and regulatory needs.
• Coordinate with departments like Quantity Surveying to resolve material, cost, and contractual issues.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders through comprehensive reports to support informed decision-making.

Quality Assurance

• Review architectural layouts and technical details to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality.
• Ensure all documentation meets quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure conformance with drawings and specifications.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (minimum LAM Part II); commitment to pursuing LAM Part III is essential.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience across all project phases—Concept Design, Design Development, Documentation, and Delivery.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Lumion, MS Office; Revit and BIM are optional.
• Experience with project management software is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively, producing high-quality presentations and handling technical submissions.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging clients, consultants, and authorities familiar with Sarawak’s Planning & Building Code.
