We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team at COMPACT METAL INDUSTRIES SDN BHD in Bukit Batu, Sedenak, Kulai.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Focus on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and cost control for categories such as ad-hoc purchase items, packing consumables, spare parts, facility, project, office & operation equipment, maintenance, and repairs.
2. Compare and evaluate prices and specifications; monitor delivery schedules from vendors with the shipping department, including obtaining feedback from internal teams.
3. Maintain good relationships with vendors, monitor their performance, and negotiate with suppliers.
4. Liaise with the accounts department for payments.
5. Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely receipt of goods and resolve discrepancies.
6. Check material requisitions and issue purchase orders (PO) to suppliers; ensure goods received match the delivery order (DO) and PO.
7. Maintain proper records of purchase documents for audit and ISO compliance.
8. Attend supplier visits.
9. Be familiar with Maxisoft & AutoCount systems.
10. Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Required skills include good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• At least 3 years of purchasing experience
• Strong negotiation and planning skills
• Good understanding of manufacturing and materials
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Bonus: Knowledge of supply chain and logistics
