About the role

Our client, Hyperwave Systems Engineering Sdn Bhd, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Piping Engineer to join their team in Puchong, Selangor. This full-time position is a key role within the company's Engineering department, with responsibility for overseeing the design, installation and maintenance of critical mechanical piping systems.

What you'll be doing

Designing and managing the development of mechanical piping systems, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations

Supervising the installation, testing and commissioning of piping systems to high quality standards

Providing technical expertise and support to the production and operations teams to troubleshoot and optimise piping system performance

Preparing detailed engineering drawings, process flow diagrams and piping & instrumentation diagrams

Conducting risk assessments and implementing robust safety protocols for all piping-related activities

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing project enhancements

Mentoring and training junior engineers to develop their mechanical engineering skillsets

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum 6 years' post-qualification experience as a Mechanical Piping Engineer, ideally in the Oil & Gas sectors

Proven expertise in the design, installation and maintenance of diverse mechanical piping systems, including knowledge of relevant codes and standards

Strong problem-solving, analytical and technical skills with the ability to think creatively

Excellent project management, budgeting and time management capabilities

Proficient in the use of engineering design software such as AutoCAD

Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) is highly desirable

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Deeply familiarize in ASME, API, NACE & DOSH requirement
