This position will be based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

What you'll be doing

• Coordinate and supervise construction activities to meet project timelines and quality standards
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
• Ensure construction work complies with engineering designs, building regulations and safety protocols
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team
• Conduct site inspections and testing to validate the quality of work
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction-focused role
• Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations and project management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative when required
• Familiarity with construction project management software and tools
• Experience or familiarity with large-scale road construction projects
