The Assistant Manager/Manager, Warehouse supports the Supply Chain Manager in overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations. This role involves coordinating the daily activities of warehouse staff, managing inventory, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:
    • Assist in planning and implementing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products.
    • Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and equipment.
    • Oversee the processing of orders, shipping, and receiving activities.
  2. Inventory Control:
    • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to manage stock levels and order supplies as needed.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize efficiency.
  3. Staff Supervision:
    • Supervise and train warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records of warehouse activities.
    • Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and other relevant metrics.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  6. Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
    • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
