Job description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals with strong reading and execution skills. Our daily operations involve transporting cargo to over 100 stations across Asia, coordinating closely with Cargo Terminal Operators (CTOs) and ground handlers to ensure seamless service. Effective communication with team leaders overseeing air operations is crucial for providing feedback and continuous improvement in service quality.

A Day in a Life

As a startup, your daily tasks will be diverse, often requiring multitasking and leveraging your talents to support various business priorities. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of cargo operations for air freight, including loading, unloading, and handling shipments.
  2. Leading a team by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  3. Developing strategies to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  4. Negotiating contracts with carriers, suppliers, and vendors to secure favorable terms.
  5. Resolving operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  6. Collaborating across departments to streamline processes.
  7. Analyzing performance metrics and implementing improvements for operational excellence.
  8. Liaising with airline personnel, ground teams, and freight forwarders for timely cargo movement.
  9. Managing documentation such as air waybills and customs forms for international shipments.
  10. Monitoring cargo throughout transportation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  11. Handling inquiries and resolving issues like delays or damages.
  12. Optimizing cargo loading, space utilization, and flight scheduling.
  13. Ensuring safety and security regulations are met.
  14. Utilizing systems for inventory management, tracking, and reporting.
  15. Monitoring ULD movement via SCM from CTO or GHA across all stations.
  16. Supervising daily interline operations for smooth cargo transfers and timely deliveries.
  17. Supporting digital initiatives such as e-AWB integration and cargo tracking tools.
  18. Recommending system upgrades to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
  19. Acting as the escalation point for service issues or disputes.
  20. Establishing KPIs to evaluate interline performance.
  21. Providing cargo-related support to other departments as needed.
