Job summary

A leading company in Johor is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to develop inspection reports, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in inspection or production.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Develop and maintain inspection reports.
  • Perform buy off and sampling inspection for internal process, outgoing and incoming parts.
  • Update checklist and inspection report.
  • Ensure quality control procedure being adhered.
  • Authorized for internal verification.
  • Ensure compliance to company standards and specifications.
  • Do and maintain 5S at respective work area.
  • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain test data for review.
  • Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviation from existing standards.
  • Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
  • Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
  • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
  • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
  • Determining the causes of product defects and reworks.
  • Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of test equipment.
  • Minimum 2~5 years of inspection and/or production experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret information and blue-print.
  • Ability to summarize re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
