Job Description: Equity Research Analyst

Oversee all research reports to be prepared and published in a timely and accurate manner to ensure dealers & remisiers can provide fresh and up-to-date investment ideas to existing and prospective customers.

Formulate market strategy reports and guide analysts on sector-specific details to ensure research reports contain necessary and current information.

Research Analysis

Identify potential equity investments to enhance the current portfolio and boost investment ideas.

Develop financial models, charts, and investment strategies to assist in investment decision-making.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the financial services industry and current events to support investment decisions.

Customer Relationship and Branding

Represent the company in institutional meetings, webinars, and conference calls related to the Malaysian stock market to build confidence and provide investment guidance.

Participate in in-house and external events and roadshows to promote the company's brand.

Management & Development

Plan, execute, lead, and develop analysts to achieve KPIs.

Manage and delegate research requests and consultancy projects to improve operational efficiency.

Communicate project initiatives clearly after monthly meetings to align team tasks with department and company goals.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Investment, or related fields.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in buy-side or sell-side equity research.
• Licensed under the Securities Commission Malaysia – Modules 12 & 19A (Investment Advice License).
• Deep knowledge of the Malaysian equity market, including fundamental, economic, and technical analysis.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
• No adverse findings concerning fit and proper assessments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
