HR Supervisor/ Assistant HR Manager/ HR Manager
This role involves overseeing various HR functions to support organizational goals. Responsibilities include:
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Coordinate visa and work permit applications for foreign workers and expatriates, ensuring compliance with immigration laws.
- Lead employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions through orientation, documentation, and exit interviews.
- Manage performance management systems, including goal setting, appraisals, and development plans, guiding managers in effective reviews and feedback.
- Handle employee relations issues such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances, ensuring alignment with policies and labor laws.
- Develop, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook in accordance with employment laws; communicate changes effectively.
- Coordinate training and development programs, providing support to managers and employees, and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate HR records, monitor attendance, manage HR systems, and prepare HR correspondence like confirmations, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary letters.
- Liaise with government authorities for statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and mentor HRA team members, offering coaching and support for high performance and development.
- Act as a strategic HR partner to department heads on workforce planning, team structuring, and employee matters.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives aligned with company objectives and ensure timely execution.
- Promote a high-performance culture through accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HR strategies and improve organizational efficiency.
- Provide HR reports and analytics to management for strategic decisions.
- Assist in HR audits, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
- Monitor HR metrics like turnover and absenteeism, recommending policy improvements.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in HR roles within a commercial or multinational manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring teams.
- Strong knowledge of Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and HR compliance areas.
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills for collaboration and HR initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across organizational levels.
- Strategic thinking with effective management of daily operations and priorities.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Chinese proficiency is a plus.
- Proficiency with HR systems, especially HR2000 and SAP (SuccessFactors), is mandatory.
