An established industry player is seeking a seasoned HR Manager to lead their Human Resources department. This pivotal role involves optimizing HR functions, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing ESG initiatives and a strong background in HR management within the manufacturing sector. According to the company’s organizational structure, establish and continually optimize the department’s structure and position setup, conduct work analysis and evaluation, determine job staffing based on development needs, and allocate personnel based on the available workforce.
Responsible for multiple HR functions including compensation & benefits, performance management, talent management, employee relations, employee welfare, training and development.
Stay informed about national and local labor laws and regulations, handle employee complaints, and resolve labor disputes in accordance with company policies.
Manage daily administrative affairs and logistical support, and cooperate with departments to provide various services.
Coordinate both regulatory and non-regulatory ESG reporting activities, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations and fulfilling voluntary commitments. Gather and analyze ESG/Sustainability data and information, conduct materiality surveys to support the timely production of draft sustainability reports.
Provide legal advice and support on governance, regulatory, and compliance issues, including licensing requirements and considerations related to export and cross-border restrictions.
Crisis management: organize and coordinate the company’s public relations crisis handling, media coverage, and publicity efforts.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in Human Resources and Administration, preferably in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in developing and implementing ESG initiatives, sustainability frameworks, and strategic plans.
Prior experience working in a Chinese company is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of local employment laws and regulations, with solid expertise across various HR functions.
Excellent communication, planning, and professional skills, supported by relevant work experience.
Proficient in English, Chinese, and Malay.
