About the role

We are seeking a talented Purchaser to join the Procurement team at Reliance Home Sdn. Bhd. in our Seri Kembangan, Selangor office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, products, and services to support the company's manufacturing and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Researching, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to meet the company's purchasing requirements
2. Negotiating contracts and purchase agreements to ensure the best possible pricing and terms
3. Placing and tracking purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials and products
4. Maintaining accurate records of purchasing activities and expenditures
5. Collaborating with production, logistics, and other departments to understand and fulfill their purchasing needs
6. Monitoring inventory levels and identifying opportunities to optimize purchasing and reduce costs
7. Staying up-to-date with market trends, pricing, and supplier developments in the industry

What we're looking for

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally in the manufacturing or logistics industry
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Proficient in using procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
