Job description

Company Background

We are representing our client, a leading solar energy provider in Malaysia. As part of their expansion, they are looking for an Operation Manager (Southern Region) to join our dynamic team based in Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Execution and Team Leadership: Execute the business expansion project, manage engineers, and oversee an administrative executive.
  2. Sales, Operations, and Financial Management: Oversee sales efforts, day-to-day operations, and financial aspects to meet targets, ensure efficiency, and achieve profitability for the branch.
  3. Compliance, Risk Management, and Reporting: Ensure operational compliance, manage risks, and maintain clear communication with headquarters through regular updates and reports on sales, financial performance, and market insights.
  4. Market Analysis and Customer Relations: Continually analyze local market trends, adjust strategies accordingly, and cultivate strong customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction and loyalty.
  5. Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans, manage unforeseen situations, and focus on crisis management for business continuity.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in a managerial role from a startup/agile company.
  3. Experience in B2B sales is preferred.
  4. Proficient in P&L, budgeting, financial management, and any technical installation background.
  5. Strong people management skills with a focus on team coordination, coaching, and development.
  6. Solid understanding of sales strategies and industry trends.
  7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. Required languages: English, Malay, & Mandarin.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and manage crises effectively.
  10. Familiarity with the local market and regulatory environment is a plus.
  11. Ability to travel and cover Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and Johor.

Additional Info:

  1. Working hours: Mon-Fri (9am-6pm), Hybrid basis
  2. 18 days annual leave
