Job description

Job Responsibility

• Conduct maintenance services according to allocation by the Workshop Job Controller.
• Perform major maintenance or repairs based on skill level and training matrix.
• Log 'start' and 'end' of jobs to ensure timing aligns with the 'Labour Time Guide'.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostic troubleshooting.
• Assist Service Advisor during vehicle inspections.
• Use necessary protective measures such as fender covers and seat covers before starting any service or repair.
• Ensure all jobs utilize appropriate hand tools and Special Service Tools (SST).
• Attach printouts from workshop manuals for all repair and diagnostic jobs.
• Assist the Service Manager with warranty investigations.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free working area.
• Practice 'Seiri, Seiton, and Seiso' in the workshop.
• Deliver responsible and high-quality work adhering to Isuzu standards to minimize rework.
• Conduct a One Round Inspection (ORI) on vehicles.
• Learn and perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI).
• Assist in on-site services at customer premises or workshops if required.
• Attend training sessions as assigned by the Service Manager.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.

Job Requirements

• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess at least a Professional Certificate (e.g., SKM Level 1, 2, or 3) or a relevant Diploma.
• Preferably with a minimum of 1 year of related experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic automotive engineering knowledge.
• Skills in mechanical knowledge, diagnostics, repairs, electrical systems, and tool usage.
• Capable of performing minor and major services with basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient in using diagnostic and repair tools to ensure accurate readings and measurements.
• Good communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, including tight deadlines.
• Willing to work on alternate Saturdays.
